The NoMAD is a specially designed, self-contained solo campervan for solo travelers who want to explore New Zealand independently. This compact yet fully equipped camper offers everything you need for a comfortable and independent adventure – including a kitchen, toilet, standing room, and clever features for the perfect road trip.

The NoMAD combines the freedom of a camper with the compactness of a car . It's exceptionally easy to drive, fuel-efficient, and therefore ideal for solo travelers who want to be independent – without sacrificing comfort. With its self-contained setup, you can stay wherever it's permitted and enjoy the day.

Sleeping accommodations: 1 person
Bed: Large single bed (~200 cm × 68 cm) – comfortable and usable without conversion.
Interior: Standing height in the living area (~190 cm) and compact lounge area for relaxation.

Fully functional kitchenette for solo adventures on the go:

LPG 2-burner gas stove

📌 1. Basic insurance (included)
The daily rental price automatically includes basic "Risk Taker" insurance .
This means you are basically insured, but you will have to pay a deductible (bond) in case of damage.
You must leave a deposit (bond) on your credit card to cover the excess.
🎯 2. Additional insurance packages (Excess Waivers)
🔹 Risk Taker (Standard – included)
You pay the full deductible in case of damage.
The deposit is correspondingly higher.
Suitable if you can live with a higher risk.
🔹 The Gambler (Partially reduced)
Cost:
Under 25: 30 NZD per day
Over 26: NZD 25 per day
Reduces the amount you have to pay yourself if damage occurs.
You pay a smaller deposit than with the standard deposit.
Offers a middle ground between risk and cost.
🔹 You're Good (Maximum Protection)
Cost:
Under 25: NZD 40 per day
Over 26: NZD 35 per day
It fully protects you against excess costs up to a defined amount (depending on the vehicle, up to e.g. $5,000 or more).
No or very little deposit required.
Best option for maximum safety and relaxed travel.
